Abstract: The following report presents in tabular form the safety standard of the Nuclear Safety Standard Commission (KTA) on Reactor Core Design of High-Temperature Gas-Cooled Reactors Part 1: Calculation of Thermodynamic Properties of Helium The basis of the present work is the data and formulae given by H. Petersen for the calculation of density, specific heat, thermal conductivity and dynamic viscosity of helium together with the formula for their standard deviations in the range of temperature and pressure stated above. Therelations for specific enthalpy and specific entropy have been derived from density and specific heat, whereby specific heat is assumed constant over the given range of tempe rature and pressure. The latter section of this report contains tables of thermodynamic properties of helium calculated from the equations stated earlier in this paper.
